Handbags Trends for Summer 2010

Being in fashion and "current" is important to many women, whether they are in the workplace or stay at home moms.  However, oftentimes it is difficult to know what the trends of the moment are and how to apply them to your wardrobe.  Here are the top vogue styles of handbags for Summer 2010.

Texture is another huge summer trend.  Braided handles, ruching (tight folds), woven leather, pleats; anything that gives your bag that extra textile interest will be vogue.  Straw bags scream summer and can be found everywhere this summer.  Woven raffia in particular will be seen on celebrities and fashion models.  Small handbags with long straps is another new style that will be popular this summer.  Hardware was hot for fall and is still in this spring.  This means bags embellished with studs, grommets, and other metallic features such as exposed zippers and buckles.  It's great that this trend is continuing because you can find bags with studs and grommets on sale meaning you can get a trendy bag and save a little cash at the same time.  Being in style and current doesn't mean spending half your income on clothes or taking hours to get dressed in the morning.  Simple touches like a new handbag are a perfect way to stay trendy without spending or changing much about your routine.
